Thank you for the comment! Right now the only workaround (according to Figma) is to sign up and be the admin for an Organization-level plan so you can upload shared fonts to your team. So as an Org-team of one, it sounded like you could use these fonts on iPad Pro as they would be hosted on Figma’s servers, but I have not tested that.

Of course, this workaround creates all sorts of edge-case issues. For example, does the shared font cause issues for desktop users who don’t use the shared font but have the identical font installed locally? And obviously, there may be licensing issues depending on the custom font you’re uploading (but that’s an issue beyond the scope of the article).

I’ll definitely update the article and ping you as I get updates on this. It’s pretty much the main blocker for me as well.
