Thanks for writing this! Yes, totally agree, I’m in the same boat. In fact, at one point I started researching mini-Bluetooth keyboards or programmable ones so that I could map modifier keys to the keyboard. Unfortunately, those custom solutions cost more than a plain keyboard, so not worth it.

I also explored the idea whether a second device (e.g. an iPhone) or a custom keyboard app could act as that keyboard with modifier keys, but I haven’t found a viable solution there either.

So unfortunately, I don’t think the options are good at this time, meaning there will be limitations trying to get things done without a keyboard. I’ll definitely update the article if I do.
